Inês Rebelo
Inês Rebelo is an artist, designer, and educator whose interdisciplinary practice engages with contemporary dialogues across art, science, and the environment. Rooted in an ongoing fascination with astronomy, her work explores our relationship to the Sun within the context of the Anthropocene.
Working across drawing, painting, and installation, Rebelo’s approach brings together scientific inquiry and poetic reflection, inviting new ways of perceiving our closest star and its impact on life on Earth.
She holds an MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London (2006), following studies in Fine Art Drawing at the National Society of Fine Art in Lisbon and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Lisbon.
Her recent residencies and awards include the Vasari Research Centre for Art and Technology at Birkbeck, University of London (2025) and Cultures of Sound at the University of Huddersfield (2023).
