Finlay Abbott Ellwood Exhibitions and Events

Abbott Ellwood, Finlay

Finlay Abbott Ellwood (born 1996) is a London-based artist whose paintings and drawings are personal maps of connection—a visual diary that reveals the intricate, often unseen bonds in our everyday lives. His paintings gave surprising hints and intimate details that invite to a quietness and a sense of order.

After graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2018, Finlay began to explore things that might seem ordinary at first—like chance events, repeating patterns in nature, and small moments that often go unnoticed. He shows us the path of a drifting seed, the quiet structure of a cell, or the gentle signs that help us recognize shapes. His works feel like an open dialogue— a personal and thoughtful invitation to see the world through his eyes and to reconsider how nature and society are quietly, and often unexpectedly, connected.

Intuitive Echoes is not just an exhibition—it’s an encounter between worlds. It invites us to slow down, to look closely, and to feel the quiet continuity between ancient hands and present ones. By placing Finlay Abbott Ellwood’s paintings alongside selected antiquities curated by Dr. Shanshan Wang, the show opens up a space where time folds in on itself, revealing how the same search for meaning, form, and connection runs through all acts of creation.

It’s a reminder that while tools and materials may change, the creative impulse remains timeless.
