Thomas Pellerey Grogan Exhibitions and Events
“Research is a key driver of my work. I often engage with corporate and industrial sectors outside my own field, adopting their methodologies as a lens to examine shifting systems of communication.”
Thomas Pellerey Grogan (b.1991in Nottingham) explores how emerging technologies shift perception and reshape our relationship with the world, media, and the body.
Grogan studied at École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (BA, 2014) and the Royal College of Art, London (MA, 2016).
Working across video, sculpture, and drawing, Grogan investigates the politics of image and sound-making. He looks at how digital tools influence human behaviour, communication systems, and cultural rituals. His practice is grounded in deep research, often borrowing methods from corporate and industrial sectors to imagine speculative futures and alternative realities.
In Grogan’s work, the line between fact and fiction blurs. He uses present-day developments as a springboard to question how technological mediation is transforming the way we see, interact, and understand our environments. Speculation becomes both a creative and critical tool.
