This is one of the finest and most detailed self-portrait drawings by the artist and indeed this edition should be considered one of his most remarkable and thoughtful artist’s books. Due to Richter’s financial success in the 1990s, most copies of the books had their drawings removed. Our book, in such a complete and fine condition, is therefore extremely rare to find.
