This extensive catalogue is divided in two parts, offering drawings and prints from the late 15th century to 1900, and provides a roll-call of the particular areas in which we have dealt over the years. Including works of the Italian and German Renaissance, a fine selection of Dutch and Flemish work from mid 16th to the 18th century. French and English works from the 18th century to the early 19th century and German and French realism.
Intentionally the period of the so-called classic modern art (first quarter of the 20th century) has been omitted.
Two very different works, dated 1933, are starting the second section which includes notable works by some of the most influential European and artists active in the second half of the 20th century.
